University of Alberta students registered in on-campus credit courses for the Fall term are eligible for a ONEcard. Photos must be submitted and approved in advance of picking up a ONEcard. All students must present a valid government issued photo ID and their UofA ID number.

For Faculty and Staff
Most University of Alberta Faculty and Staff are eligible for a University of Alberta ONEcard. Please ensure that you confirm your eligibility and check that you have been entered into the PeopleSoft and ONEcard databases. You may do this by contacting the ONEcard Office by phone at (780) 492-7924 or by sending an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your 7-digit UofA Employee ID number in all correspondence. You must pick up your ONEcard in person and present government issued photo ID at time of issuance.
Faculty and Staff must submit a photo online before visiting the office.

University of Alberta Alumni may obtain a University of Alberta Alumnus ONEcard for ID purposes. Access to services must be purchased separately. Please visit the University of Alberta's Sport & Recreation and Libraries websites for information about fees and procedures for accessing these services. You must pick up your ONEcard in person and present government issued photo ID at time of issuance

For Continuing Education Students
University of Alberta students who are currently registered in a diploma or certificate program through the Faculty of Extension may obtain a University of Alberta ONEcard in person at the ONEcard Office for a $15 fee. Access to services must be purchased separately. You must pick up your ONEcard in person and present government issued photo ID at time of issuance.
For Postdoctoral Fellows and Academic Visitors
ONEcards are available to Postdoctoral Fellows and Academic Visitors, however registration must be completed with the Postdoc/Academic Visitors office prior to card issuance. You must pick up your ONEcard in person and present government issued photo ID at time of issuance.

For Guests and Contractors
Guests and Contractors with the university may obtain a ONEcard in person for a fee of $15 after they have been assigned their 7-digit university ID number and CCID.
Access to buildings or services may be administered by the individual's department after card issuance.
For Cash ONEcards
A Cash ONEcard (not ID) can be purchased from the ONEcard office and can be used to make ONEcard financial transactions at vending locations that accept ONEcard cash.

Department ID Badges
The ONEcard Office, in collaboration with Marketing and Communications, has developed a standard Departmental ID Badge for University of Alberta staff, students, and contractors. Department administrators can request badges using one of the forms available on the Forms Page.

Individuals who are not associated with the University of Alberta, but wish to use the gym facilities, may purchase a VVC Membership from the Equipment Room in the Van Vliet Centre.
